Our Head of Ecology, Morgan Taylor is running a Green Infrastructure Design training course with Place Services (part of Essex County Council).

The course will look at the design and application of green infrastructure and is aimed at architects, landscape architects, ecologists and environmental professionals.

The first part of the session will cover the theory and explore case studies of good practice GI. The remainder will be held on a site visit outside in the City of London, to visit a biodiverse living roof.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Policy framework and other drivers which can be used to help secure GI delivery;
  • Forms and functions of differing GI features;
  • How to design and specify GI;
  • An introduction to measuring change in biodiversity value as part of GI delivery, with an insight into industry trends.
