Retrofit is central to achieving a net zero built environment
With around 80% of the buildings that will exist in 2050 already built, retrofit is central to a net zero built environment. The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard provides the first unified, industry-backed definition of what “net zero carbon aligned” means for existing buildings.
This event brings together perspectives from across the industry, alongside Greengage’s direct experience applying the Standard in practice. Together, the panel will unpack what it takes to deliver the Standard across retrofit projects: the technical and implementation challenges of getting there, the Performance Evaluation route – its application to building portfolios, and the delivery challenges, from contracts and buildability to cost, that determine whether ambition translates into completed buildings.
