ESG support for Picton (Real Estate Investment Trust)
Greengage has been appointed as ESG advisor to Picton, a UK listed REIT, in a role that underscores our expertise in providing strategic sustainability advice. Beyond providing ongoing ESG guidance and market intelligence, we are developing a robust ESG strategy and building on Picton’s existing net zero roadmap to include ambitious, yet achievable targets and a detailed category-level decarbonisation action plan.
These initiatives are being developed and implemented in close collaboration with Picton, leveraging their internal best practices, industry expertise and the significant progress they have made so far in decarbonising their portfolio. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to driving meaningful, measurable sustainability outcomes.
London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) climate risk review
Greengage was commissioned to review and evaluate the efficacy of LLDC’s current approach to managing climate and nature-related risks and aligning with the Mayor of London’s climate emergency response and other industry standards.
The LLDC is the organisation responsible for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The area comprises 225 hectares and includes sporting venues such as London Aquatics Centres, London Stadium, Copper Box Arena and parklands, in addition to development sites for new neighbourhoods.
We delivered this in collaboration with the Greengage nature team. The exercise aimed to provide LLDC with a set of actionable recommendations for building a robust climate action strategy by reviewing LLDC’s existing policies and documents in line with the best practice industry guidance. Greengage’s experience of being on the steering group for UKGBC’s Climate Resilience Roadmap provide an insight into the industry’s upcoming best practice guidelines. A bespoke framework was developed for assessing LLDC’s current position on climate risk and all of the necessary actions were identified. The key recommendations were shortlisted to provide LLDC with the next steps. The findings were presented to the Climate Action Steering Committee and have informed LLDC’s subsequent work on their climate action strategy.
