Greengage Commit to Becoming a Net Zero Organisation 1536 1152 Greengage Environmental

As part of our continued commitment to providing expert advice to our clients on how to overcome the challenges posed by climate change, Greengage are proud to announce that from January 2020 we have formally committed, via the United Nations ‘Climate Neutral Now’ Pledge, to develop a framework to become a Net Zero Organisation.

Using our vast array of experience and as part of a four-step process, we shall begin by undertaking an audit to calculate our carbon footprint, prior to setting out an action plan to reduce our emissions as much as reasonably possible over a specific timeframe. Where emissions cannot feasibly be reduced any further, we will set about offsetting our emissions using UN certified Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects before finally establishing a process for monitoring our progress and publishing an annual review of our advancement.

This is a prime example of Greengage using many years’ of expertise and experience to adjust to both the physical and politically changing climate and hope that our ideas will set an example to both our clients and competitors about the positive changes that can be made.

Should you wish to take the pledge yourself and require assistance in establishing a process to do so, or simply want to explore ways in which you can reduce your carbon footprint, please get in touch with Cameron Parker.
