Richborough Power Station

Greengage have been providing general environmental advice, project management and ecological survey support for a large site near Sandwich in Kent, where a number of major schemes are proposed.

This large site supports a multitude of notable and protected species. Our ecology team are providing strategic support on species such as bats, reptiles, GCN, otter, water vole, invertebrates, and notable birds such as peregrine falcon.

The site also includes an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Importance, and contains several bat roosts.

Our ecologists have been busy throughout the summer assessing this unique and varied site, designing mitigation schemes and providing ecological clerk of works support, overseeing site works.

The site was full of life – with orchids, lizards, snakes, marsh harriers and peregrine falcons, amongst the industrial buildings and wind turbine.

Greengage continue to support on future planning proposals and licensing applications.
