The proposed development comprised three storey residential blocks with a total number of 24 residential units consisting of 23 two bedroom flats and 1 single bedroom flat. It includes car parking and soft landscaping. The site is located approximately 1.5 miles from Ashford town centre and provides good access to local amenities and excellent transport links.

Greengage undertook an Ecohomes Assessment and a Phase 1 Habitat and Protected Species Survey and accompanying report.

The proposals brought forward a scheme whereby sustainability was integral to the design and performance was measured against environmental, social and economic key performance indicators. A preliminary benchmarking exercise using the EcoHomes assessment method demonstrated the design was achieving the highest environmental rating of ‘Excellent’.

Greengage also confirmed with the local authority, through a detailed screening study, that a formal Environmental Impact Assessment was not required.
