SEGRO is a property investment and development company that was seeking to ensure their business operations met all legal guidelines and that they had procedures in place to comply with any regulatory standards relating to the environment, energy and social and governance practices.
Greengage provided regulatory advice in the form of an environmental legislative compliance guide. SEGRO are keen to take forward a proactive rather than reactive environmental agenda and a key aspect of this was advanced knowledge and understanding of forthcoming environmental legislative and policy changes, which were included in the guide.
As part of the legislative guide, Greengage devised a ranking matrix to assess the risk that each regulation represents to the business and thereby allow SEGRO to understand the implications of compliance at all stages of construction and operation.
Greengage produced a compliance guide that covered SEGRO’s operations in both the UK and Europe. As part of the UK guide, Greengage provided advice, and are continuing to do so going forward, on how SEGRO can adopt alternative approaches to meeting emerging zero carbon policies for developments in London.
