Ingress Park, Kent

As part of the project management of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Greengage undertook a preliminary review of the environmental performance of the proposed development at the early design stage providing a greater opportunity to enhance the buildings’ performance as the design evolved. The site had a number of ecological and sensitive landscape designations that required detailed assessments and design evolution.

Energy efficiency underpinned the sustainable approach adopted for this prominent scheme that incorporated energy efficient building fabric, energy efficient lighting and improved air permeability. Green transport initiatives include a Fastrack bus service and the provision of secure, sheltered cycle parking spaces to promote cycling.

Ingress Park was designed and set in 35ha of grounds around the historic abbey with its waterfront, established parkland heritage and woodland areas. The development of new homes in Greenhithe delivers homes with a strong sense of place and community.
