Greengage provided a Code for Sustainable Homes assessment and certification services for the residential apartment block at 198-200 High Road, Ilford.
The development consists of nine 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments set above a commercial unit to form a mixed-use development on land that was previously used for retail purposes.
Greengage carried out the full Code for Sustainable Homes assessment and all dwellings achieved a Level 3 rating. The development scored particularly highly in the Pollution, Management and Health & Wellbeing categories.
The other category that scored highly was the Ecology category. Advice for this was provided by Greengage in the form of recommendations for a 45m2 sedum mat green roof that was installed on the top of the development with a number of plug plants and wildflower species to maximise the biodiversity value.
