At Greengage we are pleased to continue our strategic support for GPE, helping the London property developer meet their corporate biodiversity commitments, which have formed KPIs for the business’ ESG related lending facility.
It was great to see the first retrofit living roof installations completed this year on GPE’s Woolyard property. Fitted by Organic Roofs, the installations are designed to adhere to specifications provided by Greengage to help maximise biodiversity uplift potential. This is a great example of how sustainable finance mechanisms can be used to drive biodiversity improvements across managed assets where no formal legislative or policy currently exists. This shows how GPE and their lenders acknowledge the value of biodiversity, and the associated need to contribute towards nature recovery for mutual benefit of business and the environment.
