Greengage carried out a BREEAM Retail Assessment in line with the client’s corporate policy. The scope of work comprised both preliminary assessment advice and completion of the Design & Procurement certification process.
The core development of seven shops needed to maintain flexibility for the intended retail tenants. Many of the pre-defined BREEAM credits were not feasible so Greengage took great care to identify the most beneficial credits across both phases to maximise sustainability at an affordable cost.
The project brought forward a scheme that will deliver a sustainable and cost-effective development for the client without affecting the appeal of the shop units to commercial tenants.
