Located within the centre of London, 15 Southampton Place was constructed between 1758 and 1763. It is a Grade II listed building and located in the Bloomsbury Conservation area and was last used as office space.
The project involves the refurbishment and change of use of the 15 Southampton Place development to provide six luxury residential dwellings, with due care and attention given to the building fabric and local area, given the constraints resulting from the listed building status.
Greengage have been working with the project team since 2010, providing planning support from the design and feasibility stages consisting of energy, sustainability and BREEAM services. Greengage are currently undertaking the BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment for the re-development, providing Assessor guidance and support to the project team to endeavour that this historic building can meet its targeted ‘Very Good’ rating and other sustainability and energy performance targets stipulated by the London Borough of Camden.
Greengage have also been involved in providing BREEAM Ecology services for this project.
