Greengage led the coordination of the sustainability initiatives on this scheme of 397 homes and 25,000 sqm of office space which includes a hotel, serviced apartments, gymnasium and parking. The team presented the development’s proposed sustainability and energy strategy on behalf of the team to the GLA.
Working with Guildhouse-Rosepride and a multi-disciplinary team, Greengage advised on best practice in sustainable design. The scheme incorporates a number of sustainability initiatives including green roofs, rainwater harvesting (for landscape irrigation and window washing) and greywater recycling.
Greengage assessed the scheme using BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes and the resultant target ratings were ‘Excellent’ and Code Level 4 respectively, which helped to ensure there was no delay to the planning approval process.
