Canning Crescent

Greengage were commissioned to produce a sustainability and energy statement for a proposed small residential development comprising 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments and a 4 bedroom house on vacant land on Canning Crescent, in the London Borough of Haringey.

The energy strategy set out a plan for the development to achieve a 29% improvement over the 2013 Building Regulations Part L Dwelling Emissions Rating to meet planning requirements. This was primarily achieved by the inclusion of gas fired boilers and solar PV panels. The strategy also specified u-values, air permeability figures and addressed the risk of overheating, as well as identifying energy efficiency measures.

The sustainability strategy specified the measures that would be incorporated into the development including water efficient fittings, sustainable drainage, material recommendations, wellbeing features and principles for waste management.

Greengage also provided advice on the changing planning requirements and both the sustainability and energy strategies were tailored to meet specific planning requirements and enable submission.
