227-231 Wimbledon Park Road is located close to Southfields station, in the London Borough of Wandsworth, within proximity to the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The works comprised of a newly constructed mixed use development over five floors, providing 22 no. fully fitted high quality apartments, a basement for leisure use and a ground floor retail unit. The leisure and retail elements were constructed by the developer to a shell and core standard, and fitted-out separately by the incoming tenants.
Greengage acted as the lead sustainability consultant on behalf of the main developer and provided BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes assessment services for each element of the Wimbledon Park Road development. Greengage also provided ecology survey services for the development.
With the support of Greengage as the main BREEAM assessor, the retail and leisure units separately gained BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification through Shell and Core ‘Developer/ Tenant collaboration’ assessments, working with the incoming tenants’ BREEAM Assessors to successively achieve the desired rating, using the BREEAM 2011 methodology.
The residential development also gained Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 accreditation for all 22 no. units.
